Situating a swimming pool in a front setback often means making concessions: a defined entrance -- a sense of arrival to the residence -- or a restful outdoor living area to spend evenings and weekends?

This design is uncompromising. When viewed from the inside, the tranquil feel of the outdoor space and the aural privacy provided by the water feature creates an intimate setting where one feels far removed from the outside world.

Materials and detailing were selected to create an aesthetic that draws to mind a peaceful water feature, blurring the line between swimming pool and contemplation pool to create the sense when walking in off the street that the pool is in fact a landscaping feature. This allows it to be enjoyed year-round as a beautiful component of the outdoor space.
